FAQ

  • Are reservations necessary to visit?

Reservations are not required, and we will always accommodate walk-ins when possible. We do offer reservations as an option if you wish to secure your preferred date, time, and seating area for your group’s visit.

  • What are the tasting options and how much do they cost?

Our tasting flight includes four wines currently available for purchase, as well as a featured 5th wine that either offers a preview of membership or a sample from our history. Each tasting is $20 and can be reduced to $10 with a wine purchase. A certain number of tastings are included with our membership tiers.

  • How long do tastings last at Amavi?

While it can be easy to spend an entire afternoon enjoying the views of the valley from the Amavi Cellars Tasting Room, we know that you likely have a full schedule. We recommend that you allow 75 minutes for a hosted experience.  If you are on a tight schedule, let your host know when you arrive and they would be more than happy to keep track of the time so you can relax as you move through your experience.

  • Is Amavi Cellars Dog-Friendly?

Amavi Cellars welcomes certified service animals in all areas of the property. Well-behaved pet dogs are welcome during hosted experiences on our North Deck and on our Lower Level Patio. We offer water bowls and dog treats as well for our four-legged guests. Dogs must remain leashed and under your control during the entirety of your visit.

  • Are children and families welcome at Amavi?

All are welcome at Amavi Cellars, including children and families. We do ask that all guests are included in the total count when making reservations, regardless of age or whether they will be participating in a tasting, so that we may prepare accordingly for your group.

  • Does Amavi welcome outside food?

We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing outside food into the Tasting Room. If you would like to reserve a picnic table on the grass, please call us at 509-525-3541.  These tables seat up to 4, and are available for picnics and you are welcome to purchase wine by the bottle to enjoy with your food. For food options available to purchase at Amavi, see below.

  • What food options are available?

A small variety of meats, cheeses, and various snack options are available for purchase at Amavi Cellars alongside your hosted experience. Curated chocolate and cheese pairings are also available to add to any tasting flight.

  • Can large groups be accommodated?

Large groups (8+ guests) can be accommodated for hosted experiences both indoors and outdoors. A per-person deposit may be required to secure space for larger groups.  Browse our online booking system for the most accurate and up-to-date availability.

  • How will extreme or inclement weather affect outdoor reservations?

Unexpected high winds, extreme heat, rain, or snow may cause outdoor seating areas to become unusable. If you are scheduled for an outdoor hosted experience during one of these scenarios, we may reach out to offer you options for indoor seating.  Please note, that your originally scheduled time of visit may not be available indoors.

  • What types of wines are offered at Amavi Cellars?

The wines available to taste and purchase during your visit will vary, based on the time of year. Amavi Cellars sustainably produces 7 wines in total from our Walla Walla Valley Estate Vineyards. We offer a Sémillon white wine as well as Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon year-round.  Our highly-coveted Cabernet Franc Rosé joins the lineup seasonally each spring for just a few months. We offer two wines exclusively to our wine club members, and try to offer a preview sample to guests most of the year.  Our newest edition, a 100% Syrah from Stone Valley Vineyard in The Rocks, is extremely limited production and releases each year in late February.

  • Can tastings be shared?

Guests are welcome to share anything and everything during a visit to Amavi Cellars, including tasting flights. We do ask that all guests are included in the total count when making reservations, regardless of age or whether they will be partaking in or sharing a tasting, so that we may prepare accordingly for your group.
